I have been a nurse-midwife since 1994 and an International Board-Certified Lactation Consultant since 2019. While I retired from attending births in 2019, my midwifery philosophy continues to influence my practice as a lactation consultant. Breastfeeding is important for the physical and mental health of both parents and babies, and all families deserve competent, evidence-based care around infant feeding. Feeding should be a positive, nurturing and warm experience, and it is my goal that families have the kind of feeding experience that gives their parenting a confident start. I see families for prenatal preparation for breastfeeding, and any kind of breastfeeding concerns from birth through weaning. In my spare time I enjoy attending local musical and theater events with my husband, as well as Timberwolves basketball. I have three grown children and years of personal breastfeeding experience.
