Christa Heckman, PA-C

Christa is a highly experienced advanced practice provider who obtained her undergraduate degree at Concordia College in Morehead, MN and her Master of Physician Assistant Studies from the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, NE. Christa has 19 years of experience in general cardiology, cardiac surgery, and structural heart disease. In addition to her clinical care, Christa serves as the Advanced Practice Provider Manager for our Heart and Vascular Service line at M Health Fairview.

Christa has a special interest in aortic valve disease, inpatient cardiology care and leadership. Christa is a detail-oriented provider who enjoys working with patients to help them feel their best and get back to enjoying activities that bring them joy as soon as they can. When Christa is not at work, you can find her enjoying a run for exercise or running after her identical twin daughters. Christa resides in Hudson and cherishes her time spent with family and friends.

Specialties and care locations: Christa sees patients at St. John’s Hospital and the Maplewood Cardiology Clinic for general cardiology care, pre and post coronary angiogram care, as well as consultations and pre/post care for a variety of structural heart procedures (TEER, mitraclip, TAVR, Watchman/LAAC, PFO/ASD closure).
