I have always been fascinated by how the human body functions, both in illness and in health. Being a physician allows me the privilege of trying to solve the very problems that make us human. Assisting and educating my patients through the trials and tribulations of conception, pregnancy and child birth is very rewarding. My philosophy of care begins with active listening. Once a patient's concerns are well understood an optimal plan of care can be established in a collaborative fashion. I have heard numerous times over my career that I am good at explaining things. When a medical problem is well understood by the patient, then a treatment plan can be understood and we are on our way to recovery.




Outside of work, my wife and four kids keep me busy although the kids are gradually moving away as they get older. I enjoy fishing, sports, and the outdoors. I was an avid runner in the past, completing 11 marathons but now prefer an easy jog a few days a week.
