Erick Jimenez Granados, MD

Dr. Erick Jimenez is a pediatric cardiac electrophysiologist and Medical Director of Pediatric Cardiac Electrophysiology at M Health Fairview and the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis, Minnesota. He specializes in diagnosing and treating heart rhythm disorders in infants, children, adolescents, and patients with congenital heart disease. His clinical practice includes supraventricular tachycardia (SVT), Wolff-Parkinson-White (WPW) syndrome, palpitations, syncope, ventricular arrhythmias, and inherited arrhythmia syndromes such as long QT syndrome and catecholaminergic polymorphic ventricular tachycardia (CPVT). He performs pediatric electrophysiology studies and catheter ablation and has expertise in pacemakers, implantable cardioverter-defibrillators (ICDs), leadless pacemakers, insertable cardiac monitors, and other cardiac rhythm device therapies. Dr. Jimenez has a particular interest in complex arrhythmias and device therapy in children and patients with congenital heart disease. His clinical expertise also includes adult congenital heart disease electrophysiology. His approach is to understand what is most important to each family, explain the heart rhythm problem clearly, and develop a treatment plan that is both effective and appropriately focused. He believes families should understand not only what is being treated, but also why a particular approach is being recommended. Outside of medicine, Dr. Jimenez enjoys spending time with his family, staying active, traveling, and enjoying summer sports.
