JACQUELINE M PIRES, MD

Dr. Pires received her M.D. from the University of Massachusetts School of Medicine, then completed her Internal Medicine residency at the Washington University in St. Louis at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis Mo, and then completed Cardiology and Advanced Cardiac CT Imaging Fellowships at Yale University and Yale School of Medicine in New Haven, CT. Her clinical interests include addressing inflammation-related heart disease in collaboration with rheumatology with a focus on how autoimmune diseases contribute to cardiovascular dysfunction. Her training in multimodality Advanced Cardiovascular Imaging allows her to integrate her clinical and research interests in ongoing work for early recognition of cardiac dysfunction in the autoimmune patient and possible overall prevention through cardiac imaging markers.
