After completing a fellowship in Gastroenterology at the University of Minnesota in 2014 I have focused my practice on general GI and more specifically inflammatory bowel disease. I believe that the best approach to managing IBD is one that is multi-disciplinary and involves not only the gastroenterologist, but also the nutritionist, radiologist, pathologist, colorectal surgeon and psychologist. Working closely with these specialists, we can use the latest in diagnostic testing to best characterize the disease and then formulate the most appropriate treatment regimen using the latest medical and surgical therapies available. IBD is a complex disease process and it requires close care coordination with all of these specialties to manage it most effectively. I am excited to again be part of the GI Division at the University of Minnesota where this approach is used in the IBD clinic on a daily basis. This pursuit of clinical excellence will continue to allow us to be leaders in the IBD community for years to come.
