Dr. Laguna made me feel taken care of, and he did discover one more hernia when he was doing the procedure so it was thorough

The tasks that came through MyChart before the surgery were too generic. Instead of stating a generic instruction and caveating it with "unless directed differently" the tasks should be patient specific. It confused me several times resulting in needing to call docs office to get clarity. The tasks were useless and confusing for me.

Am I supposed to do a follow up for progress and concerns ? It has been a week and I am wondering if things are normal. I still have swelling and sensitive areas.

The suites and lobby areas need remodeling. All looks old and outdated. This is an old clinic so needs to look more welcoming.

Dr. Laguna was SO amazing....and listened intently to me with my questions and getting me comfortable.

Overall an excellent experience

I'm not appreciating talking to three separate people and still not talking to my own clinic. First, you talk to someone, I don't know who it is, and they put you through to an AI person who asks you a bunch of questions, and then you're finally put through to a call center which asks you the same questions that you've already answered. I asked this person, why is the AI personality asking these questions if when I get to you, you ask me the same questions. Her answer was, we have to be sure it's you. So before I can even talk to anybody about making an appointment, I am talking to two other AI responses and an actual human response.

Everyone was very professional and friendly. They put me at ease going into surgery. First time I have had surgery.

I had been in the emergency room at Fairview Southdale a few days before this appointment with the surgical consultant and he did not, I had multiple tests, ultrasound, CT scan and so forth and during the meeting he really did not reference those tests at all or the test results. So I had a question as to whether he even really looked at them. But that was really the only part of it that I thought fell short of what it should have been.

Dr Laguna is a great Doctor who listens and takes time to answer questions! He treated me with professionalism and kindness.

The entire care team was great from my pre-op nurse to the anesthesia team and my surgeon. I felt prepared before my surgery, and felt prepared to go home after my surgery.

They did a great job and everything was well communicated for the most part.

Dr. Laguna did a fabulous job! Very knowledgeable, listened to what I had to say, and suggested a reasonable approach to my treatment.
