Overall an excellent experience

I'm not appreciating talking to three separate people and still not talking to my own clinic. First, you talk to someone, I don't know who it is, and they put you through to an AI person who asks you a bunch of questions, and then you're finally put through to a call center which asks you the same questions that you've already answered. I asked this person, why is the AI personality asking these questions if when I get to you, you ask me the same questions. Her answer was, we have to be sure it's you. So before I can even talk to anybody about making an appointment, I am talking to two other AI responses and an actual human response.

Everyone was very professional and friendly. They put me at ease going into surgery. First time I have had surgery.

I had been in the emergency room at Fairview Southdale a few days before this appointment with the surgical consultant and he did not, I had multiple tests, ultrasound, CT scan and so forth and during the meeting he really did not reference those tests at all or the test results. So I had a question as to whether he even really looked at them. But that was really the only part of it that I thought fell short of what it should have been.

Dr Laguna is a great Doctor who listens and takes time to answer questions! He treated me with professionalism and kindness.

The entire care team was great from my pre-op nurse to the anesthesia team and my surgeon. I felt prepared before my surgery, and felt prepared to go home after my surgery.

They did a great job and everything was well communicated for the most part.

Dr. Laguna did a fabulous job! Very knowledgeable, listened to what I had to say, and suggested a reasonable approach to my treatment.

This was my first major surgery and the team made me so comfortable and explained everything they were doing. If I ever need a procedure again, I can only hope it’s with this team.

It took me some extra time in post-op to be prepared to go home (more than the usual patient I suspect). The staff in the PACU were great.

I guess I'm still, or I'm wondering how long it will take to have the surgery, whether it's a week out after I decide to do it, or is it a month out, or is it three months out? That's one concern I have. And that's pretty much my concerns. I was happy with Dr. Laguna.
