Marat Yanavitski, MD

Dr. Marat Yanavitski is a board-certified interventional cardiologist and structural heart specialist. He is a graduate of the University of South Alabama College of Medicine who completed his Internal Medicine residency at the Brigham and Women’s Hospital, and Cardiology, Interventional Cardiology, and Structural heart/Peripheral/Complex coronary and CTO fellowship training at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation.  Dr. Yanavitski serves our M Health Fairview St. John’s team as the Director of the Catheterization Laboratory, Director of the Structural Heart Program and Chief-Elect of Medical Staff. He specializes in complex coronary intervention, transcatheter valvular heart replacement and repair, PFO/ASD and left atrial appendage closure. Dr. Yanavitski is passionate about offering patients less invasive options for treating their structural heart disease and enjoys participating in research studies to offer his patients cutting edge technology and treatments. 

In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Yanavitski is a published author on clinical innovation in Cardiology. He has been named Minneapolis-St. Paul Magazine Top Doctors “Rising Star” from 2020-2023. Dr. Yanavitski appreciates his time spent enjoying the St. Croix Valley area with his three young children and wife, as well as mastering the craft of brazilian jiujitsu.
