Matthew Traxler, MD

I went into medicine to build relationships with people and help them live their best lives. I was attracted to family medicine because it exemplifies this with a 'cradle to grave' mentality. I am able to provide a broad scope of care, providing care in the hospital as well as treating chronic diseases in the clinic like diabetes and high blood pressure. I also am able to provide prenatal/obstetrical care and LGBTQIA2S+ medicine, which are passions of mine. During my medical training, I realized another passion of mine was teaching.  Working at Smiley's allows me to not only care for patients, but help residents grow into their careers and learn to care for patients.
