Nicole Chaisson, MD

I believe that people deserve a healthcare provider who wants to partner with them in their care, who listens deeply, who celebrates both small (and large!) victories however those are defined, who partners people's lived experience and expertise with medical knowledge to share in medical decision-making, and who advocates for their right to be the person they are becoming and their right to thrive in community. I chose to enter medicine because I believe that healthcare is a human right, and I wanted to be part of that mission. I became a family physician because I truly enjoy working with people in the complexity of their individual, family and community lived experiences. And I have focused some of my care more deeply within the adolescent health and reproductive justice fields in support of the human right to bodily autonomy. It is a privilege to be a part of this work and to be a part of the education of future family physicians.
