As a child, I was inspired by father, an physician, and mother, a nurse, to enter medicine with a clear mission to help others. As a cardiothoracic surgeon, my focus is on surgical treatment of complex heart and lung diseases. I rely not only on state-of-the-art technical precision, but on a team that delivers patient-first compassionate care. I find the immense trust our patients place in our team during open-heart surgery and lung transplantation is both humbling and motivating, driving the entire team to continually innovate in research and education to deliver the best possible care in the world.
