I chose internal medicine because of the clinical diversity in the field. I see not just the patient in front of me, but I also take into account who they are including their background to come up with the health care plan best suited for them. Patients should expect to be heard and have all their concerns and questions addressed. I expect my patients to participate and be involved in their health care to the best of their abilities.
