Scott Cooper, MD

Scott E. Cooper, MD, PhD is a movement disorder neurologist at M Health Fairview and Assistant Professor at the University of Minnesota Medical School. He completed his MD and PhD degrees at Columbia University in 1995, his neurology residency at Columbia University in 1999, and his movement disorders fellowship at Columbia University in 2001.  He then worked at the Cleveland Clinic through 2014, and at the University of Minnesota since 2015. His areas of clinical and research interest include Deep Brain Stimulation (DBS) for tremor and Parkinson’s disease, on which he has published extensively.
