Selma Carlson, MD

Selma Carlson, MD, is a cardiologist with additional dedicated training in advanced cardiovascular imaging, including cardiac CT, cardiac MRI, echocardiography, and nuclear cardiology. She has special clinical expertise in hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM), genetic/infiltrative cardiomyopathy, aortic disease, preventive cardiology, and women's cardiovascular health. Dr. Carlson is also an associate professor of medicine in the Cardiovascular Division at the University of Minnesota Medical School. She believes in patient-centered care, with emphasis on the importance of open dialogue between the patient and the entirety of the patient's multidisciplinary care team.
