Treating patients with blood cancers, I have witnessed the unique capability of the donor immune system to eliminate cancer. A growing desire to better understand the underlying process led me to embark on the pathway of an academic hematologist. In my clinical practice, I deeply care about my patients and strive to provide them with the best care and access to the novel drugs and clinical treatments. This includes the development of innovative clinical trials which systematically look for deeper understanding how immune system work in curing leukemia and lymphoma. Currently, I am focused on the emerging field of CAR T-cell therapies and cellular therapies for the treatment of blood cancers.
